The Virus
Solanum effects the carrier by traveling through the blood stream, from the initial point of entry to the brain. It attacks the brain cells, destroying them and re-creating cells of their own that slowly induces the death of the carrier. Once all functions fail, the reanimation comes about, the living dead now born. The virus can be transfered from the infected to the soon to be infected by any infected bodily fluid spilling into open wounds, the mouth(if swallowed) or eyes.

Recorded Symptoms of the “Infected”:
· Hour 1: Pain and skin discoloration (brown-purple) of the infected area. The infection takes the appearances of a spiraled circle. Immediate clotting of the wound (provided the infection came from a wound). Blood discoloration, off-yellow urine tint.
· Hour 5: Fever (99-103° F), chills, slight dementia, vomiting, acute pains in the joints.
· Hour 8: Numbing of extremities and infected area, increased fever (103-106° F), increased dementia, loss of muscular coordination.
· Hour 11: Paralysis in the lower body, overall numbness, slowed heart rate.
· Hour 16: Coma
· Hour 20: Heart stops. Zero brain activity.
· Hour 23: Reanimation.


Voodoo Zombies
Voodoo Zombies feel pain, have emotion, can think to a certain extent., recognize fire, can communicate, exhibit thought, do NOT have hypersense and can be controlled.

Zombies
Zombies have the same physical attributes as a human. Along with that, they also have the regular sight of a human. Though only having limited brain function, they can easily be tricked from afar with the jerky body movements. Zombies have excellent hearing. Not only can they detect it but also determine the direction from which the noise comes. After all, they do feed and hunt in total darkness. The living dead of this sort can smell a corpse from over a mile away, and fresh blood up to two miles away. Zombies do NOT have any special healing what so ever. Once something is damaged, it remains damaged. But unlike the human, only a blow to the head, damaging the brain can only kill the living dead. Zombies have no memory, no thought process, cannot acknowledge fire nor do they feel pain. As for communication, they let out a loud, distinct moan deep from the rotting vocal chords, letting other living dead know prey is near.

Class 1

Only a few people have been infected, usually a rural living environment, less than 20 infected all in all. Small press involvement. Little thought is put in worry of the people in the area, thinking it as nothing.

Class 2

20-100 people all together either infected or already consumed by the virus. Small city, suburbs. State wide notifications, large press involved. The local police and little military are staring to get involved, making routine patrols in their districts.

**Class 3

100-1,000+ Infected/Zombies. Utter crisis. Large military involvement has taken place by now, evacuating states and cities, and barricading all exits from the city to ensure others safety until proven uninfected.

**Class 4

1,000+ The state has been put under total lock down. Only a few lucky survivors still remain uninfected and unluckily were left behind. The zombies are still at great numbers, far too many to get an accurate count. One can only estimate... All hell has broken loose, the military now firing at any moving creature, unless they fell that the being is human an uninfected.

**Is an option on the setting and status of the surrounding area in the role-play. Please keep in mind of the surroundings and the zombie count. I do not wish to see something like this:

*Sam fired three bullets at the surrounding Zombies. He though he had finished them all off, only to find that a hoard of a million zombies made their way towards him*
In a Class 3 condition.

Weapons

Please be realistic with the weapons of choice. Do not have your character tug a Bazooka around wherever they tread. Same with a shoalin spade or any other sword. And if you do have a weapon of such sorts, please keep in mind, there is a limited amount of ammunition and humans greatest flaw, we tire. A human cannot go on for hours in battle, let alone swinging a blade around for such a long period of time.

Ti Bon Ange: A makeshift paramilitary organization headed by a former US Navy Seal Abrams Creighton, the Ti Bon Ange is a hardened guerrilla movement employed in the recruitment and training of former civilians with heavy weapons and close quarters combat.

Their immediate goal is not eliminate the infestation, but to learn and adapt from it:
the members of the Liber Solis are most interested in the study and capture of sentient undead, to analyze and duplicate the reanimated state whilst preserving complete subject consciousness. The Liber Solis is, after all, most interested in the twisted prospect of Immortality such a distillation would provide. To these twisted scientist-priests, the Voodoo Zombies are Prophets, pointing towards the next step in human evolution. Strangely, most of the Liber Solis remains uninfected at the time, a testament to their superior containment protocols (It is said the Solis Grandmasters do not wish to initiate their “Final Awakening” until the viral genome has been completely altered to suit their needs).
